We're about one week from Unreal Tournament III's release on the Playstation 3, shipping December 10th. Just in time for the holidays. No reviews have appeared on the Playstation 3 release just yet, but watch for them starting the beginning of next week. Not that it may be a deciding factor, unless things went terribly wrong. That's unlikely from Epic Games.One of the great things about the Playstation 3 release is the ability to use mods, something Epic Games is scratching their heads on how they're going to do for the Xbox 360. Epic's Mark Rein discussed with Gamasutra on how the PS3's open network (via GameSpy) will allow for user generated content on the Playstation 3 (mods and maps using the PC Unreal Editor). He also mentions how the art direction for this release of Unreal Tournament is intentionally made to look similar to Gears of War. This is a Playstation 3 game I'm looking to sink some time into.
