Nyko is breaking the chains of the Wii Nunchuk. Nintendo's Wii Nunchuk cable to the Wii Remote may have gotten in your way for some games. Nyko's solution uses a "2.4-GHz wireless" Nunchuk that communicates to the Wii Remote via a device plugged into it. The Nyko Wireless Nunchuck features a power button as well as a wrist strap. IGN posted the first images on their website (here). The wireless Wii Nunchuk will be introduced at CES. Pricing and release date has not been announced, but we should know more around CES (January 7-10, 2008).
UPDATE 1/10/08: Pricing and release date for the Wireless Wii Nunchuck has been announced. Read more details here.

Pretty cool. Written by Guest on 2007-12-08 00:00:00 At least it eliminates that annoying cord. | Looks like this'll be cool. Written by Guest on 2007-12-08 00:00:00 I wonder how much it'll cost. | Written by Guest on 2007-12-09 00:00:00 Is a nunchuck really a nunchuck without the cable? If you remove the rope or chain from a nunchuck, don't you just get two sticks? Haa, the philosophical dilemmas... | not bad... Written by Guest on 2007-12-09 00:00:00 when they come out with the classic controller will be nice too | battery life Written by Guest on 2007-12-11 00:00:00 The only questions I have are about battery life. Also, whether or not it works with multiple wiimotes or not. | This is just what I need . . . Written by Guest on 2007-12-11 00:00:00 to keep my cat from playing with the cord when I'm trying to Wii! | Stupid Written by Guest on 2007-12-10 00:00:00 Waste of money. It makes the Wiimote look twice as long and Is really uncomfortable | baterryy Written by Guest on 2007-12-22 00:00:00 i go through so many batteries as it is.... the chord must stayy | Kemo Written by Guest on 2007-12-29 00:00:00 Cool, I once was playiing Rayman and you had to repenitivley move the wiimote and nunckuck to run and the cord hit me in my face!!!!!!!! |
