November was a healthy video game sales month across the board. The game industry sold $2.63 billion (up 52%) in November 2007. The NPD numbers show hardware doubled up (or tripled in the case of the DS) overall. That means no platform significantly took over the other from last month's sales. The PS3's November price drop seems to have boosted sales a bit, but it still has some dents to make in the hardware sales rankings. Nintendo sits atop the bunch with its DS and Wii.
Call of Duty 4 took the lead (on the Xbox 360), while Rock Band came in too late in the month (November 20th) to make it in the top ten list for the Xbox 360 or PS3 (although combined it did sell 382K units). Looks like Halo 3 sales have subsided since September, but it still makes #9 in the list. There still are gamers rocking on the PS2 with Guitar Hero 3, making the 4th place. We'll see how things conclude in 2007 with December's NPD numbers!
