PSP Firmware Update 3.80 is now available for download. As previously reported, Internet Radio comes to the PSP. The RSS Channel gets a couple of updates and the Music player gets new visuals.
New features in version 3.80:
- [Internet Radio] has been added as a feature under [Network].
- The importing of channels in OPML format is now supported under [RSS Channel].
- Photos can now be displayed under [RSS Channel].
- New effects have been added to the visual player under [Music].
After installing the update, you'll need to select "About Internet Radio" to download one, or both, current internet radio applications. The Internet Radio Player 1 is powered by SHOUTcast and Internet Player 2 from ICECAST. Both worked pretty good. A nice update for the PSP: Free internet radio!
