| PS one Games Playable Remotely On PSP |

With the latest PSP Update (version 3.80) comes a bit of a surprise. You can now play Playstation One game discs on your PSP, through Remote Play. That requires a Playstation 3, PS one game disc and having a wireless connection to your Playstation 3, of course. Downloadable PSone games can also be played remotely, so you won't have to download files to your Memory Stick, however, you will still need wireless access to your Playstation 3. Crafty US Playstation.com forum members are also compiling a list of downloadable PS3 games that are playable via Remote Play. See the forum here. It's another nice bonus of functionality for the PSP. A bit of a surprise that it wasn't mentioned in either the PS3 or PSP updates this week. I did try it out on an original PS one Parappa game disc I had and it did work (although there was some noticeable lag there).
