Can you spot the difference in the Playstation 3 vs. Xbox 360 version of Devil May Cry 4? Check out the video below and see if you are eagle-eyed or just a fanboy. Or just listen to Capcom: "there ain’t no difference between the two." There is one system that's getting the special treatment in Japan though...

I bought into the ps3 verison, mainly for the noise... I have about the quietest 360 that I know of, however, the vacuum like noise, clean as it is, is on the annoying side.... visually... I believe the Ps3 continues to lead the 360 in the A.A. dept.. & 360 has a tendency to top the ps3 with lighting...
With Noise, no contest...
PS3 is hands down...
devil may cry controls

Although the visuals look nearly identical, what has me more interested, is which systems controls are better?
I've downloaded both the demo for the ps3 and the xbox 360 version, and have come to the conclusion that the ps3 one is better aesthetically.
OK... what the hell...

I have played both versions and guess what? Almost no difference. The frame rates were the same, the audio is the same. The 360 look a minuscule bit better in texture, however, with out my face being three inches from my 23" LCD 1080p monitor you cannot tell the deference. One who says they can clearly tell is nothing but another fucking fan boy. The tilt function on the PS3 for camera control was amusing but I found the rumble of the 360 controller to be a lot nicer than the tilt. Sorry , I like to feel my games, as weird as that just sounded. The load times were almost identical, however, the PS3 only achieved this due to the fact that I had to download a good five gigabytes of the game into my hard drive. That in itself scares me because that means I will only have a limited amount of space to play more games just so it can make up or its severely slow disk reading speed. Other than that the games look and run beautifully on both systems, and I'm glad to finally see a multi-platform game look equal to that of the 360 on the PS3. All in all the game has a great storyline, good graphics, excellent game play, and and a die hard arsenal of skills and weapon to top it off. I would give this game a 9.5 if it wasn't for that putrid rock music. I mean come on Capcom there are tons of rock artist out there find a better one. 1up gave this game an 8.5 I give it an 8.9 - 9.2.

Fan boys stop complaining and bullshitting, you only make yourselves look like assholes in the end.
missing the point

Written by Guest on 2008-01-14 06:13:12
uh... capcom never that it would run better on the playstation 3. they said it would run the same. this guys right you need to check your references before you post things like that. least he said he stood corrected and could admit it. im with you bro, but im into the playstation 3 version myself. i think it'll be cool no matter what system.

I stand corrected, recently released, it was mention that tilt function is supported only for camera @devilmaycry.org. I would like to make mention to the guy that faught me off, WHAT ARE YOUR RESOURCES! Don't tell a baptist he has to leave his faith before you explain to him why!

This guy is full of crap......... the game does have tilt support, and as capcom and other numerous cites have continuously stated, it looks and plays better on the ps3........... I did the video comparisons with the HD videos and the ps3 version is clearly the winner.... I even went to a demoing event and played the two, the ps3 is definitively the winner.... honestly when playing it you have to be blind or a fanboy to not see that the playstation version is superior!
Comparisson Neccessary, YES! ACCURATE!

A buddy of mine and myself downloaded the video in High Definition and watched the comparison on a High Definition TV. Both of us the entire time told ourselves that we would purchase DMC 4 on PlayStation 3 because it was born on PlayStation. Our view began to change as we saw the comparisson and we were both, in the end, both of us were dissapointed. We would watch, pause, rewind, pause again and he would take the 360 side to defend and I would take the PS3, and I lost. The picture of the PS3 version is bland, smudged and grainy. The 360 version is BRIGHT clear, smooth and colors beautiful. Whoever said there is no difference, Gametrailers video states that the 360 version is clearer. Guess I'll have to cover up my PS3 and purchase the 360 version. There is nothing distinct about the PS3 game. Tilt function is not supported so DMC 4 for PS3 has nothing to uniqely scream PS3 version. Its sadly inferior to the 360 version. So... Go buy the 360 version. If you don't believe me, watch it on a High Def 32 or bigger inch television. You'll see my point. Sorry Sony. I tried.
Yeh it's interesting

Yeh it is interesting that people get into this nick picky stuff. Yeah 2 years from now it will be better. Sony thinks the PS3 will have a ten year life cycle, where the 360 made it clear from the release of 360 it will already begin design of the next xbox, but have recently said they may plan on the life cycle being about 7 years. My guess is that it will be a 5 year life cycle which means the whole arguement of which is better will come to an end and Sony be left picking up the pieces. Who knows
360 wtf in parts...

just pause on certain areas... 360 is def. crisper... but that is nitpicking... otherwise both look good...

I watched the first several comparisions without noticing which console they were for and picked the 360 for have better. It's not that they are better, it just seems a little more clear and crisp.
Wow, go PS3
Written by Guest on 2007-12-21 21:20:26
Man, now I know where my 600$ went! What difference?!?! Ok so a year has gone by, are you telling me it's going to take 2 YEARS for some "must buy" PS3 games to come out? Why not take 3 or 4? Hey, but the time programmers can harness the "all powerful" Cell processor and its 7 DSP's... ahem.... SPE's (remember the Sega Saturn?) the PS4 should be ready to roll out...oh well I'll keep holding my breath...
360 is clearer

pause the video on the scene when they are falling from the sky and land on the bridge(appx. half way through) the impact from the snow is clearer on 360 side...ps3 side looks like fog...or mist...or smoke????? you be the judge.
Check Out the Difference In Real Life

If you've played the demos on either system, you will notice that the Playstation 3 graphics are better. This is primarily because the game was made first for the Playstation 3, allowing Capcom to accustom to the powerful graphics and processing power of the PS3. If you haven't seen gameplay on both consoles in person, check out the 1UP episode about DMC4, it sums it up very well
Difference?

Difference? What Difference?
Nothing to see here
Written by Guest on 2007-12-21 15:03:40
There is clearly little or no difference between them other than the fact that fans of the previous versions will probably feel more at home with the PS3 one because of the controls.
