Microsoft Point Gifting Now Available For Xbox 360 Gamers In US PDF Print E-mail

Give the gift of Microsoft Points. Arriving right before Christmas, you can now send your Xbox Live friends a gift of Microsoft Points. Go to points.microsoft.com and sign in with your Windows Live ID (also used on Xbox.com). You can then select from the following points to purchase:

2000 Microsoft Points ($25)
1000 Microsoft Points ($12.50)
500 Microsoft Points ($6.25)

You will need to know your friend's Windows Live ID tag. The system for gifting the MS Points is currently not setup to deliver based on Xbox Live Gamertags, so you'll need to ask your gift recipient for their Windows Live ID. Major Nelson noted that they are working to have it work with gamertags in the future. Avoid the last minute rush and send a friend some MS points for an XBLA game, game expansion, or all the gamerpics they can get. Xbox Live Arcade games typically go for 400 or 800 MS Points. See the XBLA games available here.
