Hudson Entertainment has begun registration today for their Bomberman LIVE (Xbox 360) New Year's Tournament & Sweepstakes blast. Registration starts now and ends at 8:59 a.m. PST on January 13, 2008. The tournament will take place in the “Friendly Fire” game mode. Participating in the tournament will require Bomb-Up Pack 3, which has the game mode. There's also a sweepstakes for those of you that don't have access to the Bomberman LIVE Xbox Live Arcade game and Bomb-Up Pack 3. The top 8 places in the Tournament will be awarded prizes such as 100,000 Microsoft Points (for 1st place) and an Xbox 360 Elite Console (2nd place). Sweepstakes Prizes will include limited-edition Hudson wear (jacket and tees) and 1600 Microsoft Points.
Tournament rules from Hudson: "You have one week to rack up as many frags as possible in online ranked matches in the “Friendly Fire” game mode, as recorded on the “Weekly Ranked Friendly Fire Leaderboard.” (Note that this requires you to download the “Bomb-Up Pack 3” add-on pack for Bomberman LIVE.) If you're in the top 8 on the leaderboard, you just might be a winner! The tournament begins at 5:00 a.m. on January 6, 2008 and ends at 8:59 a.m. on, January 13, 2008. Additionally, by registering below, you’re also entered into the Bomberman LIVE New Year's Bash Sweepstakes! The Sweepstakes runs at the same time as the Tournament, but you don't need to do anything additional to enter! Twenty-five winners will be selected at random. Alternate mail-in entry is also available. If you want to register for the sweepstakes, but not the tournament, you do not need to do anything other than register below."
