Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) has announced that its Sony Playstation 3 console sold 1.2 million units during Holiday 2007 (November 23, 2007 to December 31, 2007).
"The PlayStation brand ended the year in a very strong position and clearly indicates more positive momentum going into 2008. We are particularly pleased to have sold through 1.2 million units of PS3 during the holiday selling season," said Jack Tretton, president and CEO, SCEA. While the Playstation 3 may have had some good sales, the Sony PSP and PS2 are still edging it out. The Sony PSP also had some healthy sales numbers during the holiday period, selling 1.4 million units. The PS2 console sold 1.3 million units. From SCEA
