Pricing For European PSP GPS Announced PDF Print E-mail

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) has released more information and pricing on the Sony PSP GPS device and software. Called "Go!Explore," the GPS bundle includes a GPS (Global Positioning System) receiver and UMD disc that contains maps (various regions will be available for purchase). Go!Explore uses map technology from TeleAtlas and navigation software from NavNGo.

There will be three different bundles offered:
- GPS receiver and UMD (including maps of the relevant country): RRP €119 (about $175 USD)
- GPS receiver, UMD (including maps), Car Adaptor and Car Mount: RRP €149 (about $219 USD)
- PSP, GPS receiver, UMD (including maps), Car Adaptor and Car Mount: RRP €299 (about $440 USD)

The following map packs will be among the first available:
UK/Ireland
France
Germany / Austria / Switzerland
Spain / Portugal
Italy
Nordic
Benelux

See a closer shot of the PSP's GPS hardware below. The PSP GPS is scheduled for release in early Spring 2008 in the UK. Hopefully we'll get more details on the US release from SCEA soon.
