Bionic Commando will be getting a retro-revival with some enhanced 3D visuals and is set to hit the PS3 and Xbox 360. At least for Japan. The remake will be based on the original side-scrolling Bionic Commando game and will be called "Bionic Commando: Master D Revival Plan" in Japan. Word comes from Japanese mag Famitsu, via IGN. It'll precede the new, upcoming Bionic Commando game from Capcom.
From IGN: "Aside from the 3D visuals, the game promises to maintain the flavor of the original title, which presumably means pure side-scrolling gameplay. Capcom is adding a simultaneous two player mode, secret areas, and some elements that will connect the classic title to the new full 3D Bionic Commando." The updated Bionic Commando has been confirmed for release on the Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network in Japan for Spring 2008. No official announcement has been made for the US yet From IGN
