Today Nintendo will be adding one, yes one, Virtual Console game via the Wii Shop. Available starting at 9am PST today:

1080° SNOWBOARDING (N64, 1-2 players, Rated E for Everyone, 1,000 Wii Points): Hit the slopes for some serious shredding in one of the first truly realistic snowboarding games ever created! Start in the lodge and select from five characters, each with his/her own particular attributes and special tricks. Then take a look at the wide assortment of available boards and choose one that best suits your rider and style. Once you've got the gear, six different modes of play, including Match Race, Trick Attack, and 2-Player Versus, await. Pick a course and get ready to experience a sensation of speed that'll make you forget all about the cold—but it might just send a shiver down your spine. Throw in hidden characters and boards, varying weather and snow conditions, multiple paths through each course, and a variety of tricks to master—topped off with rock-solid play control—and you've got a recipe for winter fun that you can enjoy any time of the year. It's all the fun and excitement of the sport, without the bruises and frostbite!

Didn't see the game you wanted on today's release? Add the Wii Virtual Console game you're waiting for to the growing Wii Virtual Console Games Wanted Wish List.

1080 is cool, but nintendo cant release any games that were made by rare, and whose characters were not solely nintendo's. for example, they cant release banjo kazooie or perfect dark, but they can release donkey kong 64, bc nintendo owns the rights to donkey kong. but still, they could release some better stuff
uhhh yeah.

I've got 2200 points. I'm waiting for Super Mario RPG. Been waiting a long time. Come on Nintendo bring out the classics like that or even DK64.

Also why not GB, GBC, or GBA games via the console?

I wonder why nintendo still has not given us nintendo fans rbi baseball. When I was a kid everyone played it and it is still the best baseball game.
Ha ha!

Herpes 64, that's a good one!

Come on Nintendo, you guys can do better than that! Stop being lazy and bring out Majora's Mask (N64), Mega Man X (SNES), and Perfect Dark (N64)

ive been waiting about 5 months now for the release of Zombies Ate My Neighbors, and its really pissing me off that theyre releasing fewer and fewer games to the virtual console each week. I also question why Zombies Ate My Neighbors was ready to be released in April of 2007, but Nintendo chose not to release it. The game was removed from the list of future VC releases, and then put back on several months later. This happened three times before it made its way back on the list again. Something's up in Japan...but what?

We have to write to Nintendo about this. If enough us complain, maybe Nintendo will get the idea.
Wow

How can it take so long and have us wait just for ONE game on the virtual console??? They could have released some better game like Majora's Mask on 64 rather than some stupid snowboarding game. How LAME!!~~
Wow!
