First, to get this out of the way, an official press release has not gone out yet. However, IGN is reporting that Electronic Arts CEO John Riccitiello has confirmed that a Wii version of Rock Band is coming, following a conference call on EA's third-quarter reports today.
From IGN: "Riccitiello mentioned the game at the end of the call's question-and-answer session. There was no release date given, but Riccitiello referred to the "coming launch" of a Wii version of the game." There's also the retail packaging that recently surfaced from the Rock Band Microphone, that says it is compatible with the Playstation 3, Wii and Xbox 360. IGN is reporting to have received confirmation that Rock Band is coming to the Wii from EA reps they contacted after the call as well. We'll be watching and keeping you posted on the official announcement from Harmonix/MTV Games/EA. From IGN
