Various gaming and tech sites had posted a $79.99 deal for the Xbox 360 HD DVD Player (regular MSRP $179.99) on Amazon.com. While the Xbox 360 HD DVD players sold out quickly, CheapAssGamer.com had noted a banner on Amazon.com that announced the "New Low Price". Could a new MSRP tag be underway and this be an aggressive move against the Blu-ray market?
Other large retailers like Circuit City, GameStop and Walmart still have the $179.99 MSRP, however Best Buy has the next lowest price listing at $119.99. Microsoft has not announced a price-cut yet.
