Activision is distributing mailers for Wii discs of Guitar Hero III. The replacement program was put in place when it was discovered that the Wii Guitar Hero III game's audio was not in Dolby Pro Logic II. If you signed up on Activision's Guitar Hero III Wii Replacement Disc Registration Website, you should be receiving a package soon. If you haven't already signed up for your replacement, make sure to start here.
Inside the package from Activision is a form and a postage paid disc mailer for you to send your original Wii Guitar Hero 3 game disc. Just slip in your old mono-audio GH3 disc with the completed form in the mailer. Be prepared for at least 3-4 weeks downtime from the game, as that is the estimated time it will take to get the replacement disc with the corrected Dolby Pro Logic II audio. Here's the form with all the details (comes in the package from Activision). You have until August 31, 2008 to claim your new Wii Guitar Hero 3 game disc.
