How To Identify Dolby Audio Wii Guitar Hero III Disc From Mono Audio Disc |

Activision's Guitar Hero III Wii disc replacement program is now going (until 8/31/08). Activision offered the replacement program after the pretty bad mono-audio glitch. The true Dolby Pro Logic II discs are now being distributed. The turnaround time is about 2 weeks from when you mail out your original GH3 Wii disc.
The question is, how can you identify a Guitar Hero 3 Wii Dolby Audio disc, just incase you buy it used or purchased the Wii Guitar Hero III game recently? The label looks the same. Except for one thing. You'll want to look for a little star, right above the Activision logo.
See the pictures below that identify the true Dolby Pro Logic II disc and the original mono Guitar Hero 3 disc.

I have an LG HDTC with digital dolby and just received the remastered disk with the star above the activision logo. It still plays in mono for the majority of the songs. Only a few songs are in stereo like Black Magic Woman. When i called Activsion support line, they admitted that other callers had the same issue again. They wanted me to send in the remastered disk. Yeh righ! What a joke. They should crake up that lawsuit again. This is truly ridiculous. | Dual Guitar pack - still mono??

Just bought the new limited edition dual guitar pack, same lame mono sound.
Same as my original pre xmas '07 one.

I just bought the GH3 for my Wii last night at Circuit City (which also has them for $10 less than everyone else retail wise). I was praying it would have the star on the disc. Guess what? It appears that the new replacement disc w/ the star on it. Maybe they sent out discs to retailers to just throw in the new copy or something? Not sure, but i have it blasting in pure stereo right now. Love it. Good luck to everyone with disc replacements. I lucked out. Hooray me! | are the star disc really fixed?

Version 1: Original disc, Has Pro Logic Logo, but actually plays mono.
Version 2: No Pro Logic Logo, only plays mono.
Fixed disc: Pro Logic Logo, WITH STAR as pictured. Surround works. | Dolby Symbol...

The original disc will show the Dolby symbol, even through it may play mono. That was the error it had. You want to look for the star, which is the corrected audio disc. If you don't see the star, you have a mono GH3 Wii disc. | Confused

Just bought 2nd guitar plus disc. Disc has dolby symbol but no
star. 1st disc [purchased
Dec2007] has neither dolby or star. Is 2nd disc the real deal? | Fatboy
