Wii Monday Virtual Console Releases (3/3/08, US) PDF Print E-mail

Nintendo has announced the latest addition to the Wii Virtual console, Super Turrican. The announcement came a little later than the usual Monday morning. I was almost sure on my guess of Super Smash Bros. from the N64 would be coming, but no luck. With next week's March 9th release of Super Smash Bros. Melee, the timing would have fit nicely. But today we only have one game: Super Turrican.

Available starting at 9am PST today from the Wii Shop online:

Super Turrican: (Super NES, 1 player, Rated E 10+ for Everyone 10 and Older – Fantasy Violence, 800 Wii Points): You are Bren McGuire, on a United Planets Freedom Forces mission to save the peaceful planet Katakis from the Machine, source of all that is cruel and evil in the universe. The only weapon on your side is the state-of-the-art Turrican Assault Suit. Equipped with multiple weapons, including the incredible Freeze-Beam that temporarily immobilizes almost any enemy, the Turrican Assault Suit gives one man the power of an entire army. Use the myriad weapons and powers at your disposal to fight through 12 increasingly insane levels, free the innocent residents of the planet Katakis and crush the oppressive Machine.

Why is Nintendo being so f'cking stupid?

So Nintendo starts by releasing 3 games a week. Then Nintendo thinks that releasing 2 games a week is a good idea. Now we're down to one sh'tty game for the week? Is this how they say "virtual console isn't our top priority anymore"? Give me a break.
There are so many great games out there for the virtual console and they choose to release absolute crap... one at a time. Who ever is in charge of virtual console releases should be fired. All they need to do is look at all the boards on the internet to see which games players want. Or better yet, have a weekly vote on-line to see which games should become available for V.C.
Sh'tty games + no downloads = sh'tty profits... use your Nintendo-noggins.
