Experiencing problems loading up Super Smash Bros. Brawl? With the game being the first large capacity, dual-layered DVD for the Wii, Nintendo is saying a dirty lens, or "some contamination," may be the cause of the error.

From Nintendo: "Super Smash Bros. Brawl utilizes a double-layer disc which has a large memory capacity. A very small percentage of Wii consoles may have trouble consistently reading data off this large capacity disc if there is some contamination on the lens of the disc drive. Nintendo has specialized cleaning equipment that can resolve this problem. (Please do NOT attempt to clean the lens yourself, as you may damage the system.)"

If you're experiencing problems, click here to fill out a form on Nintendo's web site to get your Wii sent in for repair.

And if you're having problems playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl online, see here.

I think there is more to it and Nintendo is not telling. Most DVD movies are double layer and there were very few problems over the years. Either the Wii, or the disc have problem, but it is no contamination.
if it is modded....

if you have a modded wii...it can load the burned iso....but if you have a retail disc then you must get a switch to turn off your key off and on to play the super smash bros brawl....
