A little less than a month ago Capcom asked the gaming community what it would pay for Bionic Commando Rearmed: $10 or $15?. Well, the votes have been tallied by Capcom a little less than a month later, which resulted in 83% saying $10 and 17% saying $15. Capcom went ahead and listened to the majority vote and priced the game at $10 (or 800 Microsoft Points) for the Playstation 3 PSN and Xbox 360 XBLA.
From Ben Judd, at the Bionic Commando Community site: "Oh well, I’m tired of meta-emulated crap. These old 2D titles are where games were born. With some solid adjustments, new modes, and updated graphics they can still provide a hell of a lot of fun. Just updating the graphics isn’t paying them enough respect. Besides, I’d rather fail having created the best game I could, even if the end result doesn’t justify 2D games like this in the future. So $10 it is for the XBLA and PSN versions (we haven’t decided on the PC version because it may have some additional content that can be downloaded later)." Bionic Commando Rearmed is packing quite a list of features beyond the typical retro re-release. There's even the challenge rooms and unlockable character to be used in the next-gen Bionic Commando. At $10, it's going to be a great deal, but show the love and support the game when it's released. We want to see more spiced up retro games as Capcom's been doing with 1942, Commando 3 and Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. See plenty of screenshots and a trailer for Bionic Commando Rearmed here. From Capcom's Bionic Commando community site.
