Very early this morning on Spike TV, footage of one of the upcoming Call of Duty 4 maps was shown. If you missed it, check out the video footage of the "Chinatown" map at Gametrailers.com. The interview was taken at GDC 2008, where Geoff Keighley speaks to Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling on the map.
From Robert Bowling, at Infinity Ward's iamfourzerotwo.com: "What’s so great about Chinatown? Well among being a beautiful map set in the downtown district of Chinatown under the lighting of a full moon and decorative laterns in the rain soaked streets of the city…. it’s a classic Call of Duty remake of Carentan! One of the most popular and most demanded maps from the previous Infinity Ward Call of Duty games is back with a complete visual over haul and design elements." Robert notes more screens and details on the first downloadable COD4 map pack will be coming on Monday, including info on the fourth map, "Killhouse." The map pack will include 4 new maps: Broadcast, Chinatown, Creek and Killhouse. See previous information on Broadcast and Creek maps here. UPDATE 3/17/08: Read and see the latest on the Variety Map Pack here. UPDATE 4/2/08: The Variety Map pack will cost $10 (800 Microsoft Points). See screenshots of the maps here.
UPDATE 4/4/08: The Call of Duty 4 Map Pack will be available at 9:30am EST Friday morning (April 4, 2008). There'll be extra experience points (xp) to earn this weekend as well. From Infinity Ward's iamfourzerotwo.com.
