Haze Back to 'Timed' Exclusivity Status on Playstation 3? PDF Print E-mail

Just when you thought it was case closed on Haze's exclusivity on the Playstation 3, it's back to a possible "timed" exclusivity status. Today's latest word on Haze is that it will be exclusive to the Playstation 3 "for now." Ripten had previously reported that they received confirmation from two Ubisoft representatives at the UK Play.com event. "This result is apparently a recent decision, but final," stated the article.

So it's back to square one as even between Ubisoft reps, no one really knows if it will remain Playstation 3 exclusive. That may ultimately depend on the sales performance of the game on the Playstation 3 system. Capcom knows that going multi-platform may not necessarily be a bad thing.

See a video below featuring Free Radical scriptwriter Rob Yescombe showing Haze to the Sci Fi channel in the UK. Spot a 360 somewhere in there?

Check out more on Haze here at the official website.

First of all dvd size does not mean you will have better next gen graphics it just means you will have more space to put content on case in point resistance looks like sh!t compared to perfect dark zero haze can be put on the 360 it's just you fanboys dont want to accept that fact. to ivan_psp you are an idiot and obviously dont own a 360 the 360 is capable of making graphics as good as the ps3 you are just a sheep and following everyone else just agreeing to what the other person says.

How is DVD size an issue. Back in the day we had a mechanic in a game called "Insert disc 2" that broke up large game accross multiple discs. Ya it costs a little more to put out 2 dvds for a game or even more. But the developers make that up 100x in multiplatform sales. Any huge game franchise is really stupid not to go Multiplatform unless they can be VERY sure of a certain amount of sales. Gladly with HD affordable now, and Blu-Ray the new standard everyone will geting PS3s for their HD tvs. Making it a safe bet for developers to make future games now for PS3.
Just a ploy

has Ubisoft has relied the hype of this game has created in community, and well told one of these reps to spread a gossip about it going multi platform, and well get sony to stomp up more cash to keep it exclusive.

I think that Ubisoft probably wouldnt let free radical make the game too big for the 360, just in case they would later change their mind. Their probably going to see how well it does on the PS3 first. I just wish these third party companies would be fare and either give both consoles all of the same quality games or give one exclusive game to each console. Not give splinter cell conviction to 360 only and make Haze on both. Its like they just dont want to give sony a break. null

I bet that Ubisoft rep. is coming back stating it as a miss understood quotation, and will have to apologize to everyone. Just watch Sony and Ubisoft putting this to rest for good soon. Haze will never fit on a DVD9 trust me huge script. Xbox 360 is not even capable of being a next gen gaming console only PLAYSTATION 3 is a real powerful next gen HD gaming system with better exclusives than any one ever had.
Can the Xbox360 handle It
Written by Guest on 2008-03-19 10:30:50
The primary question is that if the Xbox360 can handle haze. Alot of the PS3 Exclusive titles are too large for a regular DVD. If they make the game for the 360 they will have to do alot of work resizing the game.
duh

So because some guy claimed to have spoken to a "Ubi rep" and claims that they have said this and that without any quotation, acknowledgment of Ubi or anything we're seeing this message now? Don't blame the developers, blame the so called Internet reporters!
