The Call of Duty 4 Variety Map Pack is currently being certified for release on the Xbox 360. Xbox 360 COD4 gamers will be the first to have the opportunity to download the content, which includes four new maps: Broadcast, Chinatown, Creek and Killhouse. The Variety Map Pack is estimated to be available for the Xbox 360 on April 3rd or 4th. PLAYSTATION 3 gamers will have to be a bit more patient, waiting until later in the month of April for the map pack on the PlayStation Network.
For those of you that have been missing out on the latest Call of Duty game, there's a "Game of the Year" Edition right around the corner. Next week, on April 1st, the Call of Duty 4: Game of the Year Edition will be available for the Xbox 360 Get the first peek and gameplay of the map packs at two GameStop locations in the US. Gamers in New York City or San Jose, California can attend a special "Variety Map Pack Challenge Event" at GameStop. Free tokens for the Xbox Live download of the map pack will be handed out to the first 100 attendees. There will also be other contests and giveaways.
