If you've sent in your Wii Guitar Hero III disc for replacement, you should be getting an extra bonus from Activision and Red Octane. Earlier this year, Activision kicked in a Guitar Hero III Wii Replacement Disc program to replace the original batch of Wii discs that had mono audio instead of the Dolby Pro Logic II audio. The replacement takes about one to two weeks to come back after you've sent it in.
For the downtime from Guitar Hero 3 gameplay, Activision and Red Octane is sending customers who had their disc replaced a bonus gift: a Guitar Hero faceplate. See the note enclosed in the package below. The package ships after the replacement GH3 disc is sent. Look for the star at the bottom of the replacement disc, which identifies the true Dolby Pro Logic II audio disc. See a picture of the Guitar Hero III Les Paul faceplate below. The Guitar Hero 3 disc replacement program runs until August 31, 2008. If you need to get your disc replaced, visit activisiongameexchange.com. This only affected the Wii version of Guitar Hero III.
