Square Enix has announced the release of Cloud Strife and his motorcycle Hardy Daytona. The Play Arts action figure debuts today at the New York Comic Convention, where it is available for $79.99. Play Arts created Cloud and his bike based on the original illustrations by character designer Tetsuya Nomura.
“The Cloud figure included with the Fenrir motorcycle is from the FINAL FANTASY VII ADVENT CHILDREN timeline, which is two years after the events of FINAL FANTASY VII. Cloud has matured since the days when he rode the Hardy Daytona, but each Cloud figure can ride the other’s motorcycle,” said merchandising representative Kanji Tashiro. The Cloud and Hardy Daytona set will be available in May (or now from Square Enix's booth #1349, if you're at the New York Comic Con). There's also a solo Cloud Strife figure available from Square Enix's online store for $24.99 (shipping may run about $10 extra in the US). Sephiroth, Vincent, Yuffie, and Red XIII and Cait Sith will also be released later in summer 2008. See more details at Square Enix Members website.
