Another Unreal Tournament III mod mixes gaming platforms together on the PLAYSTATION 3. Imagine this as kind of a "Subspace Emissary" mode from Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The Epic Games Unreal Tournament 3 forums have a 2D mod, UT2D 1.0, created by jbizzler, and a Super Mario Map Beta mod, by FrontAXL, that will turn the FPS to a side-scrolling 2D Super Mario inspired level. Check out a video below of it in action, featuring Master Chief and Marcus Fenix skins.

To get the mods on your PLAYSTATION 3, you'll need to install two "USERDATA.JAM" files:
- First, download the "UT2D 1.0" mod, available from a link here. Once you've downloaded the file, move it to the main directory of a USB drive to transfer it to your PLAYSTATION 3.
- Load Unreal Tournament 3 on the PLAYSTATION 3.
- Select "Community"
- Select "My Content"
- Press the [SQUARE] button to "Import Mod"

Once that is installed, download the "UT2D-SuperMario_Beta1" mod, available from here. Follow the same steps as above to import and install the UT2D-SuperMario_Beta1 "USERDATA.JAM" file.

You'll be able to select from four options when you choose "Instant Action": UT2D Deathmatch, UT2D Team Deathmatch, UT2D Capture The Flag, UT2D Duel. You can then select the UT2D-SuperMario_Beta1 map. Enjoy the UT3 deathmatch in the NES inspired Super Mario map! Unreal Tournament III is currently available for the PLAYSTATION 3 for $30.99.

First, thank you for featuring my map.

Secondly, thank you for being one of the first sites to credit jbizzler for creating UT2D. There's a lot of misinformation out there, but you got it right!

After you've installed both, go to Instant Action and select one of the four matches that begin with "UT2D", then you will be given an option to select the Super Mario Beta map. Setup some bots if you don't have anyone to multiplay with.
how do i start playing it?
