The PlayStation Blog has details on new stuff that has arrived for the Metal Gear Online Beta. The new content features a stage from Metal Gear Solid 4 and a playable Snake character. The new map added is called "Midtown Maelstrom," a sneak preview of the Middle East stage in Metal Gear Solid 4. A new gametype rule has also been introduced: Sneaking Mission. The Sneaking Mission will give you a chance to preview a playable Snake and Mk. II (Snake's "robotic sidekick").
There's also a bit of clarification on the Metal Gear Online game, which will be included in the final retail version of Metal Gear Solid 4. It won't cost you extra to play, although future downloadable content may. There's no subscription charges either.
