Grand Theft Auto IV Freezing Affecting PLAYSTATION 3 and Xbox 360 Gamers PDF Print E-mail

Various websites, and forums, have been reporting freezing issues in Grand Theft Auto IV for the PLAYSTATION 3 and Xbox 360. The Xbox 360 freezing may be related to random Xbox 360 issues (RROD included). You can see the Xbox 360 issues reported in a forum thread on Xbox.com. It is advised that gamers see this page to resolve the freezing by clearing the Xbox 360's cache and/or try some other troubleshooting steps.

There's an even longer thread on the PlayStation forums. It's been recommended that if the game freezes during the install, to quit and delete the save file and try again. From my own firsthand experience, I've had no issues so far with Grand Theft Auto IV on a launch 60GB PLAYSTATION 3 system.

See more on Play.tm and theinquirer.net.

this site reeks of sony fanboys. Saying the graphics are way better on the playstation 3 is ridiculous. They're virtually identical. Stop pandering to your console of choice immature a-hole.

I found it funny that the same article appeared on planet xbox but they neglected to mention the 360's issues and chalked it up as a ps3 failure... level headed reporting at its best

I have already reformated the drive, set everything to factory defaults. Still, my copy of GTA-IV on my 60GB PS3 crashes just a minute or two into the game every time I have tried to play it.

no problems for this proud owner of a 40gig Ps3 @ 31.5% complete, although i did find it amusing at the midnight launch in rome, ny that many of the xbox owners were talking about the red ring of death?
???

I think you'll find it's a PS3 problem because nobody i know or speak to on Xbox Live have know of anyboby who's had it and most other sites apart from this one say it's mostly if not all PS3s that are having problems, i've just finished a marathon
How many of you get paid for this?

This thread reeks of paid-to-post sony moles. Sony actually pays these people to go out and pump up PS3 on the boards. Here's an issue that's mainly a PS3 problem, and these guys are all over, ranting and raving about MS fanboys when they're the bigm
