GameStop has listed another version of Gears of War (the original Xbox 360 game), with a June 24, 2008 release date.
See the listing of "Gears of War With Maps" here The previously released map packs, Hidden Fronts Map Pack and the Discovery Channel sponsored maps may be included on the disc, being that it is labeled "Gears of War With Maps." The following maps were made available after Gears of War was originally released:
- Raven Down Map Those maps are available for free from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. There are no details if the Gears of War re-release will include any other content beyond those maps. Gears of War is currently still averaging about $59.99 retail. Gears of War With Maps is listed for $39.99 at GameStop. Not sure why they didn't price this at the Platinum Hits $29.99 price, unless there is some bonus content besides the free maps on the disc. Wishful thinking: the extra missions and Brumak found on the PC. That would get us ready for Gears of War 2! As spotted by Cinema Blend Games.
