This week is a week of many "firsts". EliteXC will be the first
mixed martial arts tournament to air on national broadcast television.
It will be my first time to observe the Miami-bred Kimbo Slice in a
live romper stomper. Yet, it will be a first for many salivating
Street Fighter fans to observe the national debut ad for Street
Fighter IV. During "Fight Night," this Saturday May 31st, Capcom will
air several Street Fighter spots. The premiere being a 60 second
commercial, with several other 30 second ads blessing the air waves
throughout the evening. Combinations of stylized CG animation and
gameplay pepper the footage being shown this Saturday night.
Following the event, the videos will be available to view on StreetFighter.com. The newly redesigned site currently has a countdown running until the debut trailer is revealed this Saturday night. The Street Fighter site will also allow for pre-purchasing of the title, through GameStop, where all pre-orders receive a Street Fighter IV art book. Until then, the countdown is only increasing our anticipation of the new footage. The commercials will be able to be seen this Saturday, May 31st, at 9pm EST on CBS.
