Following this past Saturday's Wizard World event, where Gears of War armor was showcased, a release date for Gears of War 2 may have slipped. The date of November 16, 2008 was mentioned by none other than the voice actor of Augustus Cole, Lester "Mighty Rasta" Speight. There's been no specific release date announced by Microsoft or Epic Games, other than the month of November 2008.
So 11/16/08 is rumored for now, but it comes from someone within in the project. Microsoft and Epic Games are likely aiming for a pre-Thanksgiving release date for Gears of War 2, so we can roast some Locusts with friends and family. From Xbox 360 Fanboy
