The Xbox 360 is going to get a price drop, as leaked retailer circular ads are making their way around the 'net. As of today, there are three options available for the Xbox 360. They are:
- Xbox 360 Arcade (No HDD), $279.99 MSRP
The list may get shaken up soon, as evidence of a price drop in the $349.99 Pro version are surfacing from leaked retailer circulars. The Xbox 360 Pro model will be advertised at a $299.99 MSRP soon (this coming weekend?), as seen in the following ads: The HollywoodReporter.com is also claiming to have received confirmation from an undisclosed retailer: "Microsoft would not comment, but a major retailer, which requested anonymity, said the price move will come before the major video game trade show, E3, which runs July 15-17 in Los Angeles." Microsoft hasn't made any official announcement or given confirmation of it, but this should also edge the non-hard disc drive version (Xbox 360 Arcade System) to the price point of the Wii. The price drop is also rumored to make way for a new 60GB HDD option. Whether that happens, we should find out in the next week or so!
