Today, Activision announced that the Top Gun Anthem will be available as a free download for Guitar Hero III. The track will be available beginning July 3rd from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace and PlayStation Store (PSN), in celebration of July 4th.
The press release says: "The instrumental, guitar-heavy theme was immortalized in the hit film that inspired a generation of young men to awkwardly serenade women at bars, perform perfectly-timed “flipside” high fives and threaten to “buzz the tower.” From Activision
