Samba De Amigo Box Art Shows Maraca Wii Remote Add-on PDF Print E-mail

SEGA's Wii release of Samba De Amigo is rumored to be getting some add-on maracas, thanks to a leaked box shot from HMV. The artwork is no longer on the HMV site, but Go Nintendo was able to snag it in time. SEGA and game developer Gearbox Software have not announced the peripheral.

From the looks of the temporary packaging that surfaced, the Wii Remote fits in the base of the maraca as found in other Wii Remote extensions (like tennis rackets, baseball bats or golf clubs). Samba De Amigo will support the use of two Wii Remotes. In the odd chance you don't happen to have a spare Wii Remote, you can use a Wii Nunchuk as the secondary maraca. Samba De Amigo is estimated for a September 2008 release. The retail price of the standalone game was recently adjusted to $39.99, down from the initial $49.99. Maybe the Samba De Amigo game with maracas could be the $49.99 version?
