Nyko has announced a new Media Hub for the PLAYSTATION 3. Sounds like an ideal solution for the PLAYSTATION 3 40 GB model, which lacks 2 additional USB ports and media slots found in other PLAYSTATION 3 systems.

Features, as noted by Nyko:
• Connect 3 additional USB devices such as flash drives, PSP, MP3 players and controllers.
• Easily snaps onto the console to match the color and contour of the PS3.
• Compatible with 20, 40, 60 and 80 GB PS3 consoles.
• Powered by the PS3, no batteries or additional wires necessary.
• No tools or internal modifications needed.
• Works with the PS3 in vertical or horizontal position.
• Media card reader slot supports SD cards and Memory Sticks.
