Celebrate freedom and free DLC! The Top Gun Anthem track is now available for free from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. Activision and RedOctane have made the track available for Guitar Hero III, as a little bonus Fourth of July gift.
The Top Gun Anthem theme song is written by Harold Faltermeyer and originally performed by Steve Stevens. The Guitar Hero III "Top Gun Anthem" is performed by Steve Ouimette, whom is also responsible for the cover version of "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" (among others). Check out more on GuitarHero.com. The Top Gun Anthem won the 1987 Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Performance. The Guitar Hero III Top Gun Anthem should also be available for the PLAYSTATION 3, later today on the Thursday PlayStation Store update. From MajorNelson
