PLAYSTATION 3 Firmware 2.41 Update Expected This Week PDF Print E-mail

Last week, the PLAYSTATION 3's Firmware 2.4 update didn't last for one day, as it was pulled due to reported bugs. It was a rough debut for one the biggest updates for the PLAYSTATION 3 XMB (xross media bar) interface. The update brought the much anticipated in-game XMB and trophy support (see more on that here). Gaming website CVG is reporting that they've been told an update is expected by this Wednesday, 7/9/08. The 2.41 update will hopefully fix the issue.

Launch 60GB PS3 hare, no problems, not even with GTA4... 
 
XMB in game works fine, Trophy Sys to be seen (waiting for Uncharted patch)

2.40 went in fine, 2.41, just came up, downloaded it, everything works just as it was... could it be just the 20GB or 80GB PS3's?

Just freezes at start UP. Not real happy about it. plus sony wants $$$$ to fix it

I have the 40gb and everything works fine.  
 
Just curious if it is locking up for certain PS3..
