The director behind the series of "Saw" horror films crafts a little horror piece for Dead Space, EA's upcoming space-horror game. James Wan created a trailer for Dead Space entitled “Loved Ones”.
"Being a massive fan of space horror stories, I leapt at the opportunity to help out on Dead Space”, stated horror Director James Wan. “When I saw the early development stages of the game, I was blown away by the cinematic visuals and the philosophy behind the story. I knew I had to be involved in this project in whatever capacity. It was a new but fantastic experience working with the Dead Space creators. My imagination was so fired up that I approached the trailer like I was crafting a suspenseful, short movie.” Dead Space will be released in time for Halloween 2008 (note the trailer now says October 21, 2008). EA is currently having a sweepstakes giveaway from Dead Space, where you can win 100 sci-fi and horror DVDs that helped inspire it. See more on that here.
