Here are the highlights of today's Sony E3 press conference. More information will be posted on GamingBits.com soon, along with photos from the event! The biggest PS3 game announcement came at the conclusion of the presentation, which we won't make you wait on:

MAG, a "Massive Action Game" which allows for huge 256 player battles. Zipper Interactive is developing the game. Players will likely be hooked to rank their players up, as part of an 8 player squad.

God of War III: No surprise that it is coming, but the first teaser trailer was shown. Watch for it on GamingBits.com!

80GB PLAYSTATION 3 "Core Pack" announced. The 80GB PS3 now becomes the standard PS3 system, at a $399.99 price tag.

PlayStation Video service debuts: Available today on the PlayStation Store, a new video service debuts for the PLAYSTATION 3. TV shows and movies can now be purchased or rented for viewing on both the PS3 and PSP. SD and HD videos will be available. TV episodes will start at $1.99, while movie rentals will go for $2.99-$4.99. In a unique move from the Xbox 360's Video Marketplace, Sony is offering video purchases. Films can be purchased between $9.99 to $14.99, if you want to keep the digital download. New titles will be added weekly.

PlayStation Home: The closed beta is expanding in Summer 2008 and the open beta will begin in Fall 2008. Not much new on that (we've been waiting for some time), but Sony did confirm game environments for Home avatars: Resistance: Fall of Man, Warhawk and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune were shown. Use your PS3 Home avatar to virtually explore the environments of the game. Although the environments are all from first party Sony games, third-party support will come from publishers such as EA, Activision, LucasArts and Ubisoft.

Gran Turismo TV: Debuts in the US starting August 1st. Watch special automotive episodes via GT5 Prologue.

Resistance: Retribution announced for the Sony PSP. Resistance goes portable in this new game designed specifically for the PlayStation Portable.

Other PSP titles confirmed include Loco Roco 2, Patapon 2 and Super Stardust Portable.

Life WIth PlayStation: Coming in end of July to the PS3 in US.

Ratchet and Clank Size Matters PSP Entertainment Pack: A $199.99 Silver PSP bundle will be available starting in October 2008, which includes Ratchet and Clank Size Matter game, a "blockbuster movie" on UMD, a PLAYSTATION Network voucher for echochrome, and a 1GB Memory Stick PRO Duo.
