One big thing gamers have been wondering about the upcoming Mortal Kombat Vs DC Universe is if there will be fatalities. During a recent showing of the game at E3, as an off-screen video demonstrates, you can see what Scorpion's Fatality move does to Batman. The game will have "fatalities" and "brutalities." A "brutality" is executed by a superhero. For example, Superman's brutality is pummeling the opposing character into the ground. Not killing them, but knocking them senseless.
In addition to the confirmed fatalities, DC has given developers at Midway Games more freedom to show damage inflicted on superheroes. Emblem damage to superheroes' logo was a no-no originally. As you can also see in the video below, Batman's logo (and cape) register tears, and blood. A Midway Games representative said DC was pretty happy with the progress of the game and allowed the damage to happen on some signature elements previously off limits. Another little bit of info from Midway Games was that the final boss character will be completely new. It is also being done in collaboration with DC. That's about all we can say on that! Watch for more characters to be revealed at Comic Con this Friday.
