Remember Samba De Amigo from the SEGA Dreamcast days? The motion control maraca-shakin' game is making a comeback soon (Sept. 23) on the Wii. It'll be the first Wii game to feature downloadable content via the Wii's Wi-Fi "Pay & Play," available also on September 23rd. The first downloadable track pack will include: "Mambo Mambo" by Lou Bega, "I Want Candy" by Bow Wow Wow and "Are you Going to Be My Girl" by Jet. Tracks will be released in sets of 3. Pricing was not announced at the time of this writing.
Below is the official list of songs included in the Wii release of Samba De Amigo (note that tracks with asterix are cover songs). If you aren't familiar with some of the tracks (at least by the names), listen to a sampling of them here.
What would Samba De Amigo be without the feel of a couple maracas? Amazon.com has recently listed SEGA's Wii Maracas peripherals. As you can see from the inside of the handles, they hold a Wii Remote and Wii Nunchuk inside. See them here
