Development on BioShock for the PLAYSTATION 3 is complete and mass production is underway. 2K Games has announced the anticipated game has gone gold. International audiences get the PLAYSTATION 3 release first on October 17th, with the US release following on October 21st.

Curious to see how Rapture holds up on the PLAYSTATION 3? A downloadable demo will be available in advance of the game's release. That's coming out this week, October 2nd.

Here's a summary of what's new for the PLAYSTATION 3 release:
"Developed by 2K Marin, 2K Boston, 2K Australia and Digital Extremes, BioShock for the PLAYSTATION 3 system contains all-new content that augments and extends the experience in exciting ways. BioShock for the PLAYSTATION 3 system contains new features such as the inclusion of the Survivor difficulty mode, Trophy support and the addition of all-new Add-On Game Content that will be available for download shortly after launch. Pricing and availability for Add-On Game Content will be specified at a later date."

How many of you (who have both the 360 and PS3) are up for another trip to Rapture on the PLAYSTATION 3? Definitely count me in!
