Hello Bit-heads! I hope you’re having a great Monday. Friday’s update never came due to some technical problems, however, this one is huge. Make sure you take a look at everything. There's something in every department today. Also, I will have a killer Gamingbits.com map on LittleBigPlanet very soon; once it's done I’ll let you know! Anyway, I leave you with the biggest update I’ve ever done. Microsoft – Xbox 360 [New Xbox Experience] - Major Nelson has just updated his blog with some new info on the New Xbox Experience. This shows you how to get the NXE on November 19th when the update is launched. It’s basically like installing a regular console update. Source: MajorNelson [Gears of War 2] - [Rumor-Bit] Yes, another rumor has exploded onto the web! This time it’s with Gears of War 2 DLC. A few exciting pictures of a new map not included with the retail version of the game (or the map pack for that matter) has been spotted and floating around the web. Looks convincing. Source: CVG [Lips] - It's been confirmed that Microsoft’s wireless Lips microphone will not work for Rock Band or Guitar Hero: World Tour. However, it would be easy for Harmonix or Activision Blizzard to make a patch to allow it to work. Keep an eye out if the patch hits. Source: MTV Multiplayer Blog Nintendo – Wii, DS [Blood of Bahamut] - Square Enix has just released a trailer for a new game titled “Blood of Bahamut”. It looks like it will be a promising game for the Nintendo DS. Source: QJ PlayStation – PSP, PS3 [Metal Gear Solid 4] - Some new DLC will be coming out for those Metal Gear Gamers out there! A new MEME pack has been announced and will be seeing light on November 25th. Those who download it will be able to play as Liquid Ocelot and Mei Ling, both with new abilities. It also comes with 3 new maps as well! Source: Gamer.tm [LittleBigPlanet] - [Rumor-Bit] LittleBigPlanet for the PSP. Will it come out? Well, rumor has it that the game will be coming out next year, although it's sketchy. Source: QJ [PS3 Bundle] - A new PS3 bundle has been spotted, and no it isn’t exclusive for those UK gamers either. If you drop by your local Best Buy, you may see a 160GB Uncharted bundle. The bundle retails for $499.99. Source: Engadget Multiplatform [Rock Band] - Looks like Rock Band will be receiving a facelift from Mad Catz very soon! Mad Catz has just shipped the Rock Band Drum cymbals (3 Pack), along with a portable Drum Set and a premium M.I.C. The Mic will feature a D-pad and a few buttons, including the Xbox Dashboard button. Good idea to combine a controller and Mic together. Source: GameInfoWire.com [Street Fighter IV] - Today’s top news bit goes to the announcement of Street Fighter IV. Capcom recently announced the release date for this game as February 17th! Source: GamePro.com [Mirror's Edge] - Looks like Mirror’s Edge will not be seeing the entire DLC exclusive to the PS3. A representative from EA announced that the DLC will be available for multi-platforms. Also, Mirror’s Edge for PC is coming January 2009. Source: GameCyte.com [Rock Band] - What’s up with Rock Band this week? A lot actually. First of all, any battery buyers out there with Rock Band can now buy Energizer batteries and receive some free DLC from them. That’s good. It looks like The Killers are getting a track pack that will be released alongside their new album, “Day & Age”.
