An 2D incarnation of Mirror's Edge is in the works, and playable in beta form now, for free! Jump, or run, to it here. The flash version of the newly released Xbox 360 and PS3 game is being developed by Brad Borne. It translates some of what you experience in the Mirror's Edge game from EA and DICE: speed runs, finding your way across obstacles, running through buildings, wall runs, swings, slides and even sounds. We're told that a final online version is definitely coming in the weeks ahead, featuring leaderboards. It will be appearing on a few websites, although none have been announced just yet.

You can see from the comments on the game that players are wondering if a possible PSP, DS or WiiWare version could come from this. Wouldn't that be cool?

If you're curious about the Mirror's Edge game on the Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3, a downloadable demo is available from Xbox LIVE and the PlayStation Network. PC gamers can get their fix with the Mirror's Edge 2D version, but will also be getting the full PC version in January 2009.

Oh, and keep a lookout for the GamingBits review of Mirror's Edge, coming here very soon! Can't wait to share it with you!
