Club Nintendo US Website Back Online - Somewhat PDF Print E-mail

Club Nintendo is back! Or at least somewhat for now. Although Nintendo has put the US Club Nintendo website back online after an overwhelming response, things are still a bit shaky. You should at least be able to sign-up or transfer your membership, and maybe complete a couple of surveys from your registered Nintendo games.

The good news is if you registered your games in the past and transferred your previous My Nintendo membership, you'll be able to complete surveys to earn some coins now. At 300 coins, you enter Gold status. After 600 points, you get to Platinum status. Better yet, you get to trade in your coins for some exclusive Nintendo goods, with the Nintendo DS Game & Watch Collection at the top of the bunch (800 coins). There's other ways to earn coins too, although we think you should get at least 100 coins as an achievement for successfully completing one survey today! Nintendo has given some games way into 2013 until the chance to earn coins expires, so don't worry about rushing in today.

Just keep in mind, this is the biggest installed base of gamers banging at the door (Wii and Nintendo DS). Nintendo of America is still trying to get a grasp around the traffic and demand. Keep us posted how your experience was getting into Club Nintendo. I managed to make it to Platinum before getting the dreaded "Internal Server Error" message.
