Wii gamers who want a Rock Band 2 branded SD card can look to the 2GB SanDisk Rock Band® 2 SD gaming card. Although most SD cards will work with the Wii, SanDisk is packaging its 2GB SD card with the Rock Band 2 label for clear identification (and display of your Rock Band pride).

“We are launching the SanDisk Rock Band 2 SD card to enhance the playing experience on the Wii,” said Christopher Moore, director of product marketing, consumer products division, SanDisk. “Video games like Rock Band 2 frequently offer downloadable extras, and gamers need to have an affordable and convenient means of storing this bonus content. The SanDisk 2GB Rock Band 2 SD gaming card meets that demand.”

The SanDisk 2GB Rock Band 2 SD card will be available in Spring, for a $12.99 MSRP. SanDisk currently offers a Wii branded SD card.

Hopefully we'll get a Wii Channel SD card, but that's really up to Nintendo to get that Wii Channel gameplay off an SD card functionality going. We'll talk more about that later.
