It's time to get back to the weekly video game releases, with the first notable batch of new games for 2009. Lord of the Rings: Conquest is undoubtedly the big release of the week, for the Xbox 360, PLAYSTATION 3, PC and DS. Check out the demo available on Xbox LIVE and the PlayStation Network. Its gameplay is similar to the Star Wars Battlefront series. Good or evil-- it's your choice in Lord of the Rings: Conquest.

I've just started playing Moon for the Nintendo DS, but this week is the official release date. From what I've played so for, it's been an impressive first person shooter. I really recommend checking it out. There hasn't been a game like this on the DS for a while. See a gameplay trailer on it here. Although we don't usually keep up with PC game releases, of note is Mirror's Edge on the PC. Make sure you check it out if you haven't played it on the PS3 or Xbox 360 (read my review on it here).
