Velvet Assassin was one of the games featured in the booth from SouthPeak Games at New York Comic Con. The playable Xbox 360 demo in the booth was from an October 2008 build, which is said to have improved graphically and in its gameplay from what was being shown. An off-screen gameplay presentation (below) shows how some of the stealth mechanics work in the game. A light blue halo around your character, Violette, indicates you're in stealth mode. Also noted are the many varied stealth kill animations. Just like any stealth game, you'll have to watch where your enemies are patrolling and take the nearest cover before going for the pounce. There is still a little balancing being done on the degree of difficulty, but the game so far seems to be weighted for gamers with some stealth games under their belt. Watch the video from the NY Comic Con booth below to see how it works!
