Crytek announced earlier this month that its new CryENGINE 3 was headed for the Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 game systems. The first look at the game engine has been revealed from IGN via GDC09.

Crytek told IGN that the CryENGINE 3 tech trailer has some Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 footage mixed in (which you can also see by the logos at the beginning of the video). IGN noted that the clips showing footage from Crysis doesn't mean that the PC game is headed to the PLAYSTATION 3 or Xbox 360, but do you really think Crytek would release the CryENGINE 3 for the systems and not release the game? We'll be seeing more soon.
