Have you been bitten by the dreaded E74 Error which is caused by a hardware failure on the Xbox 360? Following the "Red Ring of Death" hardware failures, the new E74 error seems to be infecting the newer Xbox 360 consoles put onto the market recently, making the console, yet again, unplayable.

Well, good news! Xbox LIVE's Major Nelson has confirmed that if you are experiencing trouble with your console and it is displaying the E74 Error, you can now get the extended three-year warranty which was given to anyone who experienced the three red lights of death.

If you received the E74 error and had to pay for the service to get it fixed, Microsoft will be reimbursing you with a refund. Just shows you that Microsoft is starting to clean up the problems associated with the Xbox 360.
