Yesterday, Nintendo announced the release date and pricing of the Wii MotionPlus. Wii Sports Resort won't be released until a little over a month after the Wii MotionPlus (set for June 8th release). So what can you do with the motion enhancing accessory in the meantime? SEGA is actually the first third party publisher that will be supporting the Wii MotionPlus with Virtua Tennis 2009. It's also the first time that a Virtua Tennis game is released on the Wii platform.

From SEGA:
"This means that for the first time Nintendo Wii™ system owners will be able to experience the thrill of real tennis by holding the Wii Remote™ like a tennis racket. The Wii MotionPlus feature will let players hit left and right by swinging the Wii Remote in that direction. Performing lobs and slice shots is as simple as mimicking the real-life technique."

Visit the official website of Virtua Tennis 2009 for more information on it at www.virtuatennis2009.com. Virtua Tennis 2009 will be available in early June 2009 for the Wii (currently listed for $36.99 here at Amazon.com).
